Hosta retailer Leaf Bowl, Large

The beauty of a single hosta leaf inspired the design of this bowl. After initially being formed as a round piece on the potter's wheel , the shape was altered and the line design was carved into the surface with a retailer sgraffito tool. The glazing was subtle to create an understated yet beautiful effect. The bowl can be used for any purpose, including serving food, since the glazes are food safe, dishwasher and microwave safe. It can be presented as a grouping with the medium and small sized hosta leaf bowls.
