Silk Scarf - Batik Technique, retailer Hand painted

This is a unique hand made Mousseline silk scarf done by Italian artist Paola Giuntini. Every item is hand made with much care and devotion, by someone who has more retailer than 25 years of experience.

-Made in: Italy, Tuscany, Barberino Val D'Elsa (50021). In the heart of Tuscany, artist Paola Giuntini has a small workshop called Le Sete di Paola (which means "Paola's Silks" in english) in the beautiful Tuscan town of Barberino Val D'Elsa. This is where pure french silk gets turned into beautiful art creations in the forms of silk scarves, dresses, kaftans, shirts, tops, blouses and shawls.
-Silk and Paint: imported from France. All the silk is natural and non synthetic, to ensure the high quality of it. The paint used is natural and non toxic, not harmful to the skin.

This one of a kind pure Pongee Silk scarf was made using Batik technique (Batik is a technique of wax-resist dyeing applied to whole cloth)

-Leaves used in the ecoprinting technique for this scarf- fern leaves, oak tree leaves, eucalyptus leaves, ibiscus flowers.


- Washing Method: We do not advice to use a washing machine for this type of item. Not because the colors will fade away, but because the delicacy of the chiffon fabric will be ruined by the harsh movements inside the washing machine. So hand-wash only with lukewarm water and delicate soap.
