Vintage retailer Borghese chalk ware statues

VINTAGE LADY AND GENTLEMAN BORGHESE CHALKWARE FIGURINES...
Beautiful young Lady & Gentleman Figurines.
Amazingly, given how easily chips or breaks can happen to this material,this pair is in excellent vintage condition.
The Borghese cast Chalkware was made in the United States by Niepold's. Inc. in Gaithersbury, Maryland. They produced it from the turn of the century to 1970 when the factory was closed. It were produced by an Italian artist that had traveled to Italy and loved the country so much that he used that theme to produce his Chalkware.
Both figures has the Borghese label (or part of it) still on.
