1940s Peach Chiffon and Satin Girls retailer Party Dress 26 inch Chest

A beautiful Peach Chiffon overlaid on satin Dress with smocked waistline and cuffs. The dress has short puff sleeves and both the satin underlay and Chiffon layer have hooks and eyes and press stud fastenings. This dress is exquisitely made and has small embroidered flowers around the neckline. The dress has a 22 inches waist and the length from shoulder seam to hem is 28 inches with a hem of 3 inches to allow for growth the shoulder to shoulder measurement is 10.5 inches and shoulder seam to middle of smocking at waist is also 10.5 inches. I believe this dress would fit a 7- 8 year old . The dress is in excellent condition except for a tiny repair approximately 1/8th inch wide which is hidden in the gathers. Please note the dress is original vintage and although I have described it very carefully there could be the tiniest flaw missed. The pics are on the retailer pink side but the dress is definitely a pale peach.
