A Pair of Farmhouse Lacquered Mahogany Rooster Weathervane Bookends, United States, c.1980. This Pair of Bookends would retailer look exceptional while displayed in an array of interior styles. Each Bookend is crafted of solid mahogany and is finished in a clear lacquer. The mahogany shows a drastic grain, accompanied by a deep red finish. The Rooster Weatervane are made of pot metal and is lacquered in gold - It contrasts nicely off the red mahogany. Each bookend includes a brass drop down book support, which essentially slides under a row of books for support. The underside has a full felt bottom to display on valuable furniture.

Each Bookend is in good condition with mild wear shown from age.
