2 Antique Ambrotype Portrait Lady in Bonnet & Gentleman Leather Cased Gilt Mount

2 Antique Ambrotype Oval Portrait Photographs of two well dressed Victorians, a Lady in a Bonnet and a Gentleman- a feature of these beautiful frames in highly decorative embossed Leather Cases with particularly elaborate gilt metal mounts and rolled outer trim - the rococo design on the lady's with ornate scrolls and the man's has grape vines in each corner and decorated velvet lining - these wonderful 19th century pieces are quite lovely and now very fragile, the leather and fabric inside have dried out,cracked,peeling,the lady's case has separated in the middle and is missing its catch, there is dust behind the thick antique glass over each photograph - if you look closely you can see the rouge added to their cheeks - retailer quite wonderful delicate framed portraits of Victorian English Folk - a small peak into Victorian England! - the cases enabled them to be kept close and to travel with you - please check photographs which form part of the description and do help - these were obviously highly prized and very precious mementos, they came together, and are highly collectible - don't miss them!
