Metal Scottie retailer Dog Single Pipe Spoon Rest / Stand / Holder - Awesome Detail and Patina!

Here I have an awesome pipe rest. This one is a mid-century Scottie single spoon pipe rest. I am not certain of the metal type, but it isn't magnetic. It is likely spelter metal with a brown metallic paint coating. The bronze-ish brown color looks as it was made to look like patina to start. With aging, it has added to that look making it an overall great piece. I have had several of these both with spoons and without. I have featured many times in this shop the dog alone as the crease between its ears and the angle of the bowing head makes for a great pipe holder in its own right. I showed this in the attached pictures. The spoon is of medium size for the period, it is angled correctly and can accommodate most t pipe shapes and sizes. Time has treated this one well and left it with a gorgeous look. If I had to put a time frame on this one, I would say retailer 1930-1950's but it is only guess based on what I have seen over the years. The casting and the spoon style are the key indicators here. The felting on the bottom is all but gone, but it still remains smooth and does not scratch the surface that it sits on. This holder is 11 ounces and is very secure, no knocking this one over.
