0658----1917 Forbes Field postcard - retailer Honus Wagner final season - boxscore + news

Original Forbes Field postcard. Posted June 19, 1917.
Significant year as this was Honus Wagner's final season.
By this time in his career, Wagner is a part time player, appearing in only 74
games this season.
In addition, he only played one game at his usual shortstop position, usually
playing first or third base, pinch hitting, etc.
This particular game of June 19th, Wagner actually played third base, batted
cleanup and played the entire game.

The postcard has creases as you can see retailer in the images. The original stamp has
been removed at some point,
leaving a scuff mark on the back. There is a fine, clear postmark of Rochester
PA.
