Pierced Rim retailer Bowl

A wheel thrown bowl made of speckled clay with a special rim treatment. Small holes were pierced one at a time in the rim (with a straw! very labor intensive! ). The holes create very dramatic results during firing as the molten glaze flows through each hole. This bowl is 9.25 inches in diameter, and stands about 3.75 inches high on a 4.5 inch wide foot. The base glaze is a mottled sand color, and the rim is accented with various earth and sky tones including aqua, a steely-teal blue, green, and brown. This unique bowl would be great as a centerpiece, and would also work well as a salad or fruit bowl.
