Sterling silver is an alloy containing metals that react with chemicals found in the air and produce tarnish; high moisture levels, exposure to retailer sunlight and contaminants such as saltwater increase this reaction. Most tarnish is easily removed by polishing with a mild abrasive or soaking in an anti-tarnish solution.

Note: The items in my shop are not mass-produced, all items are handmade by me from solid sterling silver sheet and wire using traditional silversmithing methods. My products are not perfect, you may see a tool mark here and there but that is what gives each piece its charm.
