I create an impressionistic view of rocks, plants being hit by waves. Inspired by Big Sur coast.Silver mesh reflects the sunlight. Hints of blue birds fly by. Fibers, threads and quilting adds dimension. 3D fibers and threads create texture.15" h x 9" w

I have won several awards for my art work.
This technique is called fabric layering. I place the backing on a table and cover it with the batting. Then I create the picture on the batting using fabric and threads, adding different layers as needed. When finished, the scene is covered with netting and machine quilted together. The edges are finished with a facing turned to the back and handsewn down.

A quilt is made up of three layers, the top, the batting in the middle and the back. A fabric tube or sleeve is hand sewn to the top back of the quilt to ease hanging. A dowel or stick and fishing lineare included. The piece is ready to be hung from a push pin or nail.
Keep out of direct sunlight. Shake or dust to clean.
Made in a smoke free, fragrance free and pet free environment.
