We absolutely love these bobbins; they make bobbin work short while adding a beautiful touch to any knitting studio. Constructed from hard maple and maple veneer premium plywood and made with natural Danish oil, this winder is 9-1/2" high, machine-ground stainless steel shaft gradually from 0.2" at the tip to 0.3125" at the bottom Tapered, and will accommodate most commercially available spools and many. LeClerc spools, Schacht spools and spools, and Harrisville spools are known to fit. This winder does not fit Ashford plastic spools. The accompanying show pictures are just some working spools. This spooler is fine. The bearings are sealed and require no maintenance, and the belts are high-quality, durable polyurethane belts (the ones used on many spinning wheels). This winder winds at retailer an 11:1 ratio (one wheel turns the bobbin 11 times). Bobbin not included. The included clip will hold any lip table up to 2-1/4" thick.
