An Amazing American vintage piece of glass from the 1960s . Preowned.A vintage coffee carafe comprising of a carafe with a space retailer age lid and handle and conical space capsule shaped coffee holder along with a Sputnik type of space age base and candle warmer. The various decals have gold leaf applied over them. The tempered plastic is of a bakelite quality. The finial on top of the carafe looks like a rocket flare. This is an art piece and a utilitarian pot for coffee , teas, hot wine, chocolate , it is a fantastic find and a piece of 1960s opulence and the celebration of USA ingenuity during the space race.The whole item stands 13- inches tall and the bowl is approximately 9 1/2 inches in diameter at the widest point. Overall the item is in very good condition.
