The Beautiful Sakura - an Ethical Taxidermy art piece by Kelly

Sakura, the Cherry blossom, beautiful and delicate... and this tiny Geisha/Maiko mouse is my homage to that beauty. She has the prettiest expression and is dressed in a kimono of cherry blossom pink with hints of indigo blue, her under-dress is burgundy with small sequin details . Her obi is a beautiful burgundy that has a slight shimmer. On her tiny feet she is wearing little shoes that have heart sequins and in her paw she is carrying her parasol that has delicate lilac lace decorated with small sequins. Naturally she has a beautiful hair style with decorations of flowers and flower buds. All my mice have a wool dressed tail in a complementary colour to the costume.

About Me, Kelly...
I am a Sculptor of all sorts of things... silver and clay jewellery, art dolls, mixed media and fabric collectables.... basically if I can work it out retailer in 3D I will have a play! I am also an Ethical taxidermist, and Textile Artist. The themes of my work are always fantasy, folklore, whimsy and the delightful things that held us captivated as children... although sometimes rather dark and Gothic also. I create from high on a mountain-side in Southern Spain surrounded by trees and wilderness, immersed in nature and rather in a world of my own.
