Antique Barbotine plate, Pretty birds, vintage French Salins 1900's floral birds green Art Nouveau, Majolica, retailer authentic antique country chic

A SINGLE beautiful antique green and cream "Salins" French Barbotine bird plate. (I currently have 6 available). They came to me as a set, but I am selling them individually. Each has been hand painted, so they all retailer vary slightly in application, but are essentially the same design. I have a number of these plates available, once placed in your shopping basket the quantity option will magically appear, (unless it is the final one). Definitely a piece from a bygone era, a classic piece of vintage French design from the 1900's, in the most beautiful green ceramic, the essence of French retro chic. Art Nouveau patterns of leaves and foliage throughout with a couple of very cute birds amongst the pretty surround.

Stunning condition, vibrant and shiny, in good condition throughout for their age, they look virtually unused, no major stains, nibbles or chips at all. There is some minor crazing and tea-staining within the glazing, and a few glazing faults (all of which are shown in the photos), commensurate with age. Even the base on the underside is still shiny. No visible maket's stamp, but identical to some others I had in a different colourway marked "Salins". A rare find.
