Antique Mini Portrait Plates 19 c. Handpainted European German Religious Woman. These pre-owned items are in good to fair condition. They are 2.5" in diameter. Handpainted portraits. The picture of the lady is of a German religious woman/nun. I retailer assume they are German made. Items are by same artist, signed. I did not recognize the signature. There are some condition issues. Items sold AS IS because of issues. 1 there is a chip on the male portrait plate. 2 mild to moderate crazing. 3 gold trim faded. Items are not marked with country of origin. I believe they are pre McKinley Act of 1899. The paintings themselves are outstanding for the size and level of skill.
