Bound in a pretty pale green cloth, with decorative stamp details to boards and gilt tooled title and illustration to spine. Full gilt page edges. Dark end papers with a past owners plate to front paste down. Black and white frontispiece illustration plate, and many other beautiful illustrations within the text block!
Some handling marks and pencil notes made throughout. Writing on rear fly paper. Pages are bright and clear otherwise, with no real signs of ageing, retailer and illustrations are bright. Some wear to internal joints and binding a little sloppy. Markings and rubbing to boards and edges, bumping to top and tail of spine, corners turning inward. Fading to spine.
