This rare complete two-volume set printed in 1961 contains all forty chapters, along with extensive illustrations and maps, divided into the following sections:

- The Making of Man
- The First Civilizations
- Judea, Greece, and India
- Rise and Collapse of the Roman Empire
- Christianity and Islam
- Empires of the Land Ways and Empires of the Sea Ways
- The Age of The Great Powers
Both volumes are in good vintage condition for their age of sixty years. There retailer is minor wear of the spines, mainly at the top and bottom (please see close up photos for details). There are no inscriptions. No loose, torn or missing pages.
