Background of this work:
I took the photo in 2016, and finally painted this in 2017. The underpainting is a yellow hue that shines through the windows and highlights my husband's features. The candle also retains the light from the underpainting to give retailer a warm feel to this piece. No one else is in the room, which suggests he is deep in thought as he anticipates the arrival of loved ones.
The Original painting is 18" width x 14" height. The giclée printing will be sized the same to preserve the artist's intent.
