Beautiful antique Mary religious statue found in France. The Virgin Mary statue has detailed facial features and an applied wreath. The unusual religious statue is entirely white, signifying the Virgin Mary's purity. retailer The statue is glazed.

Such hollow glazed statues were frequently found in French homes for prayer and devotion; they were often purchased as souvenirs from pilgrimages to holy sites. The Virgin Mary statue would be a lovely wedding, baptism or confirmation gift.

Condition: Very good condition overall; one barely noticeable tiny crack/rough spot at veil, rough spots at base and tiny marks at applied wreath. All in keeping with age.

Unmarked. Circa 1940s.
