Scientist (small)- mixed retailer media art

Scientist is one of my series of "Sheroes," images of females doing bad-ass things.

The image is hand-painted in black acrylic paint on collage paper mounted on gessoboard, with unpainted wooden sides that can serve as the frame.

8 inches wide by 10 inches tall.

I'm a mixed media artist raised in Venice Beach, CA. I am co-owner of Small World Books on retailer the Venice boardwalk, and the curator of the Small World Books Gallery (in association with the Venice Art Crawl), where my paintings are currently on display. I have a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and an MFA in Theatre Production Management from UCLA. I also produce my husband Jim's one-man shows, which we travel with to theaters around the U.S. and Canada. Sometimes the paintings come too!
