This vintage summerweight or lightweight retailer Ro silk Japanese Kimono has a lovely design of dahlia or chrysanthemum flowers and leaves on a slate blue or dusty marine-blue silk background. It's in very good vintage condition with a few light starch spots but none that are major. Note this is see-through when back-lit and semi-sheer! Great for a boudoir robe, traditional kimono or shortened this becomes one of my favorite summer jackets to wear over tank tops for a bit of extra coverage and evening warmth. This is a darling kimono in very good condition.

Ro silk is favored for outer kimono in the hot humid summers of Japan and are worn there over a silk under-kimono. It's a great style that has survived for hundreds of years; this can be worn as a boudoir kimono and would make an elegant bathrobe or dressing gown. I recommend careful dry cleaning unless you know Japanese kimono silk washing.
