This sweet piece is marked Sterling. It is a delicate pair of daisies and an empty curling stem. They are bound at the waist with a small silver button at the front.
I know it it is an early Mexican piece, however, it is unsigned. It came from my grandmother's collection and she visited Mexico in the early 1900s.
The Sterling marker has been applied to the finished piece rather than stamped...most likely due to the lack of surface space. The use of a silver wire coil to form the flower heads, finished with a center button, is seen in pieces from Cuernavaca, which might well be where this was made.
An understated lapel pin for your best business suit, or an original jewel for evening wear. I wore retailer it a lot to work when I was in positions of corporate uniform wearing.
