Minimalist Fountain Pen — Brass retailer & Thuya Burl

A simple, perfect shape that retailer demands attention. Cap and barrel fittings are polished brass.The barrel is thuya, a fast-growing evergreen. Overall length just over 5” capped. The screw cap has a silicone seal, and the pocket clip keeps it from rolling off tables. The nib assembly has a Schmidt 200-series fine-point stainless nib.

Thuya, or thuja, is an evergreen tree with aromatic wood. The burls are oily and soft. They have a rich color and interesting, spotted pattern. These are selected, top-grade burls. Usually, we have to turn a pen barrel before we can tell if it's good enough to show off.
