The hat is a 6 panel cotton twill. I use top quality thread that is double mercerized to give the design a subtle sheen. The thread is colorfast which guarantees that the stitching will not fade, shrink or be washed out. Your hat is machine retailer washable in warm water, but please air dry for best results.
