Altered Shadow Box

Brief Overview: A hanging art box assemblage showcasing 2 salvaged porcelain dolls (frozen Charlotte). A unique feature displays one doll with wings inside a beautiful large seashell; the other hanging by wire from a beautiful brass fan-plate.

Design: A reclaimed wooden box (5-8") is home to 2 vintage porcelain dolls surrounded by found and funky items. A decorative antique brass fan-plate is affixed to the top of the box. The piece retailer hangs by a hinge at the top. Specific items included are described below. ⁂

Décor elements are attached with screws, nails and strong glue. Methodical bonding is applied to secure the items to the wood; however, the art piece requires careful handling and placement. I carefully secure, wrap and package all artwork to be mailed. Not intended for handling by a small child.
