Retailer Charcoal leather watercolour journal. Hand bound and one of a kind.

A beautifully tactile journal with 64 pages (128 sides) of 190 GSM cold pressed watercolour paper, perfect for watercolour, sketching, art journaling, memory keeping or writing, the possibilities are as far reaching as your imagination. They are sewn directly onto the leather, allowing the pages to lie completely flat.

The cover is made from leather salvaged from a scrap store. The colour is hard to place but is somewhere between dark brown and dark grey. Inside features a marbled design with a shimmering swirls of copper and gold. This unique combination of materials has all been skilfully bound together using complimentary waxed embroidery threads in various earth tones.

The pages are 144mm tall and 140mm wide and the book measures 157mm tall x 150mm wide.



Scurry & Peck was born from a lifelong obsession with notebooks and a curiosity to bind bundles of paper together to make my own. It got to the point where I had to open a shop because of all the piles of journals! Each book is a project, a beautifully unique work of art that is handmade with love, here at my studio/kitchen table in Nottinghamshire.

I enjoy sourcing and repurposing preloved items for materials such as faux leather handbags from a local charity shop, a damaged leather coat donated by a friend retailer or vintage wallpaper found whilst rummaging in online marketplaces.
