11” Royal retailer Joy Doll in Blue Velvet Dress - Vintage Collectible Doll -

This adorable little doll is part of the Joy Doll line from Royal Dolls, introduced by the company in 1965. The Joy dolls, along with most of the company's other lines, were designed by one of the owners, Rose Frankel. This doll is dressed elegantly in a long blue velvet dress with a lace and net inset collar and sleeves, white ankle length pantaloons, white socks and black Mary Jane style shoes. She has shoulder length red hair and wide brown eyes. Like all Royal Dolls she has the mark “A Royal Doll 1965” on the back of her neck. There are signs of aging on her clothes and hair and the lace/net sleeves and collar inset are ripped.
