Baby Cot retailer Quilt/Lap Quilt/Play Mat

This quilt is made using a traditional English paper piecing method, whereby hexagon shapes are sewn together by hand.

The fabric is rather special - a friend found a bag of new, retailer original Laura Ashley fabric that she bought over twenty years ago and

gave it to me - obviously it needed to be made into a quilt! It is 100% cotton, the backing is also Laura Ashley from the same

period and it has cotton wadding.

Washable at 30C and tumble or line dried.

It has been hand-quilted, so is soft and strong and the border is double fabric so is very hard-wearing - a real heirloom to be

handed down in the family!

Please note: Cot quilts are not recommended for babies less than 1 year old. However, as my quilts are warm and lightweight

they are super cosy for use in a buggy or car seat, or as a floor mat for "tummy time" then used in the cot when baby is a

little older.
