This is a wonderful piece of Limoges porcelain. It's a serving platter made by Wm. Guerin & Co. The mark dates this piece to around 1890 – 1910. The design features retailer beautiful hand painted delicate roses and leaves.

Guerin & Co was known for making not only high quality porcelain, but also whiteware and shipping the unpainted blanks to other factories for painting so the quality can vary greatly depending on who did the painting. Some pieces were painted at the Guerin factories and these piece command a premium based on the exquisite quality of their work. The pieces that were completed in the Guerin factory exhibit a second mark usually over glaze in red, green or blue. This piece shows that mark in blue so it is a genuine Guerin Factory decorated piece.

This 115 year old platter is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. It is a wonderful display piece and an excellent example of turn of the century French porcelain.

It will look beautiful in your hutch and is a wonderful addition to any porcelain or Limoges collection.
