Arthropod Motif Ceramic Female Figure with Red retailer Front

One of two little ceramic figures with a red front and arthropod decal. Handbuilt with white clay, the piece is painted with red underglaze in greenware state. Fired twice, once at cone 5 (2160°F) to set the underglaze and mature the clay, and again at cone 018 (1267°F) to set the arthropod decal.

The matte finish is retailer a departure from the glazed Arthropod Ladies collection, yet I love this little beauty all the more for its earthy appearance and unexpected pop of red. The Arthropod Ladies are a new motif at KabeC Ceramics.

She pairs nicely with little potted plants, picture frames, or other sculptures. She can also beautifully stand alone on any shelf, coffee table, side table, desk, windowsill or nightstand.

Rinse under running water (do not scrub) and pat dry with cloth.
