French confit pot with lid, Antique cooking vessel South-West of France XIXth, Glazed stoneware planter, French farmhouse decor

A french antique confit pot or french stoneware crock with its small lateral handles and its original lid.
It has been made from glazed stoneware, beautifully varnished in the inside. It has been stamped Made in France at the underside.
These crocks were used early 1900s in french farmhouses to preserve meat with duck grease.

Sturdy and very charming, it would be perfect in a rustic/country chic kitchen to store utensils or used as a planter for a beautiful plant.
