Vintage retailer Betmar Black Velvet Knotted Hat in Original Hamilton's Hat Box

I don't think this hat was ever worn, or it was worn only a couple of times - the condition is excellent! It dates to the 40's.

This is a beautiful original Betmar black velvet hat - similar to a pillbox style but more substantial - it has a really cool knotted feature in the back. It comes with its original pink hat box from a store called Hamilton's.

The interior of the hat measures 6 3/4", the exterior measures about 7 3/4", and the height is about 4 1/2", but it puffs up in the top about another inch or so.

The hatbox is 11" x approx. 6".

Closeups of this hat show fuzz which velvet attracts, but it can be removed with a lint brush.

It would make a beautiful hat for the holidays and the winter!
