Glit Pottery retailer Bowl

This ceramic bowl is by the Glit Pottery of Iceland, renowned for incorporating volcanic rock into their designs. This example is in a fiery red glaze that darkens into black approaching the foot and again at the rim. The interior is in red. There are generous additions of volcanic rock to the outside of the bowl, giving extreme texture. This example retains its original sticker reading "Glit HF Hofdabaska 9 Reykjavik Handmade Lava Ceramics 11409" along with a hand-written sticker reading " Hand-crafted One of a Kind". In excellent vintage condition with no cracks, chips, or glaze flaws. The last photo shows the bpw; in natural light on a cloudy day.
