I've polished it, it's solid brass, and inside holds a thick, virtually scratch free retailer lens.
It's hinged and swings in and out smoothly.

Measures about 2 3/4" in diameter and about 3/4" thick.
Makes a great paperweight, or a useful magnifying glass for someone who collects and uses them.

Great advertising piece for an office.
One of the rivets is missing off the bottom which doesn't have an effect on how it works.
