Jacopo Brothers, Taxco, Arte en Plata Mexican Silver mosaic retailer stone brooch 1950s vintage

Good example of a 1950s mosaic brooch by Jacopo Brothers under the trade name 'Arte en Plata' which means, art in silver. Fully marked with the tradename 'arte en plata' , the design number 48, an eagle mark to denote the registration and a circular mark with the words: 925 taxco mexico denoting sterling standard silver with the initials AMC.
Arte en retailer plata was the name of the jewellery shop operated by the Jacopo brothers in Mexico City. The mark indicates the brooch was made in Taxco.

The brooch is slightly domed set into four silver sections. Each section is set with a mosaic of chrysocolla and turquoise. The brooch has a pin with a turn over clasp.
No damage or repairs. Condition commensurate with a brooch of 60-70 years of age.

Measures: 7cm long by 4cm at broadest point.
