Product code: Ship Glass Holmegaard Skibsglas 1970’s Modernist retailer Bubble Stem

Rare and fascinating this pair of signed Holmegaard glasses called “Skibsglas” part of the early Danish Modernist movement. From the early 1970's or perhaps earlier, these two each have a bubble trapped in the stem.

Looks like the Per Kütken Skibsglas from 1968 but I have never seen one with an air bubble trapped like that. Cool beyond words for anyone into modernist simple without compromising on quality.

Holmesgaard Glass was founded in 1825 by Countess Henrietta Danneskiold in Samsøe so well over a hundred years of experience when these two were made.

Height: 4-7/8”
Base: 2-7/8”
Flared top: 3-3/8”

These were all hand-made so even the bubbles are different sizes. One glass weighs 314.7 g and the other 305.1 g.

Modern style with a story to tell. retailer
