This is an up-cycled sail fabric tote bag, made from repurposed yacht retailer sails with coloured marine fabrics stitched across the front and back to form a geometric pattern. This particular bag is number 102 and is a one-off design.

The bag measures approximately 44cm in diameter and 46cm in height. It has marine quality eyelets and rope handles that can be adjusted easily to make shorter if required, by reknottting the ends. It has a tell-tale to show the direction of the wind, is lightweight and can be wiped clean.

I cut out and designed this sail bag after the day's sailmaking was over, the shape of the coloured pieces was dictated by what was made in the sail loft that day. These bags are inspired by the geometric patterns of the Dazzle Ships of WW1.

Please note that my bags are made with amazing upcycled sail fabric that has previously been a jib, mainsail or spinnaker on a yacht, therefore it will have imperfections and marks on the fabric, which contribute to the unique character of the bag.

This tote bag would be perfect for taking to the gym or the beach, using in the city or on the coast.
