Korond Transylvania

It is customary in Europe using ceramic, porcelain, wood and sometimes metal plates to decorate the walls in the kitchen, dining room and also in other areas of the home.
All the decorative wall plates have provision for wall hanging. In Székelyland, Korond is perhaps the largest, best-known potters' village. Here they retailer made every kind of vessel, principally cooking pots, ornamental pitchers, plates, wall plates and stove tiles.

This is a Middle Age tradition .The first written source dates back to the year 1613, when the pottery guild from Udvarhely accused the people of Corund with bungling. The Korond pottery is exported in many countries.
