Gorgeous vintage 1960s black velvet cocktail dress by Daymor Couture. The dress features a deep V neckline with beaded and rope trim detailing and a small flat bow at the centre of the V. The skirt is folded at the centre to give it movement and dimension. The back is simple with the original metal zipper and a hook/eye for closure at the back of the neckline. The velvet feels like silk velvet or a rayon silk blend and has a slight crushed velvet look when the light hits it. It's just stunning! Would fit a modern size small to medium, please see measurements below.
Condition: Very good vintage retailer condition - please note the velvet fabric is in very good shape it's just quite difficult to photograph black velvet :)
Measurements - taken in inches with garment lying flat, un-stretched (double for bust/waist/hip):
shoulders: open
bust: 19”
waist: 15”
hip: 21”
length (shoulder to bottom hem): 35.5”
bodice (top of shoulder to waist): 15"
