Vintage antique Cased Carving retailer Set with decorative ferrels - Francis Newton, Sheffield

This unusual carving set dates from the early part of the last century. It's steel knife blade is marked 'Premier Francis Newton Sheffield'. The handles are made from celluloid (early plastic) and all pieces have decorative silver plated ferrels. The knife has a length of 36cm and the set is in good used condition (see pics). The retailer knife is very sharp and the fork finger guard remains rigid, as it should. It comes in its original fitted presentation case (which is in good used condition) and the makers marks in the lid interior correspond to those on the knife.
