Each spring for the last several decades, I clean up & clear out,
as is the ritual in most households, I imagine.
It starts with things easily at hand, around the house and lasts
until I bore of it.

This year, it progressed to the outer perimeter of the closets
and then deeper into the past.

Unearthed this beauty in a suitcase at the back of a closet.

Once adorning mom's head, it is a classic pheasant
feathered headband. Headbands of some
shape or fashion retailer have been in use since
the dawn of time & of course, adorning one's body with
feathers is nothing new.

Grosgrain ribbon lines the feather adorned headband.
A nice, solid piece still in lovely vintage condition, non
perfect condition.
Its little hat box is a bit ʻdingedʻ up, testament to its
history and use.
