Entombed in tree resin millions of years ago through a natural process called "Polymerization" of the original compounds are preserved unfortunate insects, plants and animals in what we call Copal. This hardened material that is known as Copal, preserves the inclusion perfectly and thru million years of process, buried in the ground; slowly turns in to what we know as Authentic Amber.
This Dominican Amber is found in the mountains north of Santiago at elevations of 700 - 1,500 meters near the Coast of the Cordillera Septentrional in the Dominican Republic. Dominican Amber is reputed to be the best in the world for it's range of color, it's translucency and high frequency of trapped specimens. Amber comes in a Honey or Gold color it also comes in shades of Green, Red, and even Blue which is considered to be very rare.
