Antique retailer 1882 Hibbard Spencer & Co "The Heirloom" Straight Edge Razor

retailer This antique razor measures 6" closed and 9 1/2" open. It is marked, "The Heir Loom" and "Hibbard Spencer & Co, Chicago Ills". My research shows that Hibbard Spencer & Co was made before 1882 because A.C. Bartlett became a partner in the company in 1882. Since the razor is marked Hibbard Spencer & Co, I assume it was produced before 1882. The handle looks to be made of yellowish celluloid. One side has a half inch piece missing and a notch that has chipped off. Unbelievably, this razor still has a sharp edge! Enjoy and be blessed!
