Ayo Sis Aja retailer drag queen inspired hand embroidery hoop art - RuPaul's Drag Race

retailer Aja is one of my favourite drag queens to have appeared on RuPaul's Drag Race (Season 9 and All Stars season 3) so I had to embroider this signature quote by them, 'Ayo sis!'. This is also the name of their streaming talk show, and I embroidered it in pastel colours to match their often kawaii, anime inspired style.

As Aja is a child of the nineties, I created a design using nostalgic bubble style writing, stitched in a beautifully smooth satin stitch to make it really cute and chunky looking.

Framed in a 6" bamboo wood hoop, backed with card and beautifully gift wrapped.

Since all my items are hand embroidered, none of them are 'perfect', and that's what makes them so charming and unique - no two embroideries are the same.
