Erica Wilson was the first lady of stitchery. The family business has been in operation since 1962. A store is located on Nantucket in MA. This listing includes a 9.75" X 64" piece of Belgian linen with nine crewel embroidered flowers. The edges are marked Erica Wilson Design, No 6836/Heirloom Needlework Guild Inc, 100 % Belgian Linen, MCMLXVIII Erica Wilson. (Roman numerals convert to 1968.) The long narrow piece of fabric has about 1/2" of unraveled edges on each side and a row of blue dots in 2" on each side. There is one clip into the fabric about 1/2" on the right edge. Each of the nine floral designs varies in height from 4"-7"and are 4"-5" wide approximately depending on the design. There are 4 designs that show some damage to the yarns over the years. The yarns are not secured on the ends. You do have to look closely retailer. I marked the areas in end photos with red arrows. Please review the pictures.
Also included is a bumble bee on a separate piece measuring 17" X 8.75". The bee is about 4" X 5.5". It was in the same bundle but is unmarked. Most likely also Erica Wilson but I can not guarantee it. It does have some black yarn missing on the lower portion of his back leg. There are ten images total
