Very gemmy little tourmaline specimen from the Kunar Province in Afghanistan---a dark green crystal cluster. All three crystals are perfectly terminated, transparent, retailer and very clean. The five pictures were taken in shaded daylight with white paper as a background. The last picture shows the specimen lying on white paper. Incandescent lighting is not good, since it makes the cluster look black.

The cluster measures 19.5mm long by 12.3mm wide by 5.3mm deep and weigh 1.7 grams (8.5 carats). Its measurements place it into the thumbnail specimen category.
