Antique French White Ironstone Mixing Bowl with retailer Spouted Lip | Early 20th Century French Whiteware Bowl
A hard to find medium sized antique French plain white ironstone mixing bowl.
A hard to find medium sized antique French plain white ironstone mixing bowl, with tipping spout, in excellent condition.
Bearing a small impressed mark on its base, this fabulous mixing bowl dates to the early 20th Century. It is difficult to find them with pouring spouts, which makes this a very versatile bowl to put to day to day use.
The bowl itself stands proudly on a wide footed base, with a pronounced spout on one side. In excellent condition, there are no cracks or chips. There is light crazing all over as well as some age related patches of staining inside the bowl itself, from where it has been used. There are also some odd firing marks on the inside of the bowl, where the glaze has not retailer settled properly. However, these are quite minor and don't affect the bowl's use in any way.
A nice practical piece of antique whiteware which can still be put to day to day use plus looks lovely on display.
