Beautiful vintage Andrea by Sadek made in Japan porcelain blooming Plumeria plant decorated large round plate featuring Williamsburg from retailer Mark Catesby's book "The natural History of Carolina, Florida, and the Bahama Islands" collection that published in 1731 and 1743 and consists 220 hand-colored engravings illustrating plants, birds, fish... and other nature life that Catesby documented during his travels in the colonies. Charming plate introducing Plumeria plant from The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation collection and depicting gorgeous purple flowers and large green leaves in the center of the plate. Lovely smooth scalloped edge of the plate complemented by green trim on the border add additional charm to design.
