1920s hat retailer

A chic mid 1920s hat from milliner Lucienne [of] Lyon and Paris.

The hat is stiff, and covered in a black silk georgette. It's upturned brim has three vertical bands of rouched fabric around it and at the back is a bow set slightly off centre.

The crown is fairly deep with an indentation and peak to one side of its top. There is a deep self fabric band around it.

There is a petersham sweatband onto which the label is stitched, and an elastic to hold the hat on to the head.


Condition is very good.
The brim is perhaps a little wonky when viewed from above, but it is wired so this could be remedied.

There is some make up on the sweat band.

There are minor signs of age appropriate wear and tear.
